The tradition of a family business since 1927 It was 1927 when my grandfather started a small textile factory on the ground floor of his farm in the mountain village of Tveiten on the island of Osteroy in western Norway. The company prospered and soon became an important employer for people in the area. New models were designed for the factory all over Norway. In 1947, production moved from the mountains down into the valley to the Osterfjord, where our headquarters are still located today. We have worked our way up from the production of woolen underwear to the production of woolen sweaters for children and adults. We have been using the Norlender name for our products since 1989. The design of Norwegian sweaters and accessories is based on a rich tradition that we are rightly proud of here in Norway. Our changeable weather has also taught us a lot about clothing production.
